Here is a picture of a fish I did not too long ago. The materials I used were illustration pens, markers and bristol board (9x12). Normally I rarely use markers in any piece because I never really like how they turn out. For this piece however I really like the lines it created from the strokes, it gave the water more of a flowing feeling. I also enjoyed how after it dried I could go over it again with the same color to add some shading. Looking back at this piece I wish I would of used more references, but over all I still like it :)
Nice detail on those fins!
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of markers did you use? Copic or Prismarker?
ReplyDeleteAgreed with Alice and I also really like the details of those marker strokes! Reminds me a bit of impressionists brush strokes.
ReplyDeleteThanks you guys :) and honestly it was just Crayola markers. Surprising right?? lol!
