2-point perspective rice cooker

I attempted this drawing using the 2-point perspective method taught in our class. I find the combination of cube and cylindrical exercises help.

  1. I like it! What program did you use to color the final one?

  2. The grey is from photoshop, just using simple brush (multiply that layer) and then erase the edges. I used mouse, but if you have access to wacom tablet, it would make your life much easier. I like the drawing on your profile!

  3. Oh okay I see! Also thank you! I have a bamboo tablet actually, have you ever used tablets before? If so what would you suggest as a brand? I'm actually thinking about purchasing a new one soon.

  4. It's been a while since I used wacom. I have one where it's about 10 years old, I think. Wacom Intuos. It still works fine, but I couldn't find the driver for windows 8 and it is confirmed by the tech support at Wacom when I contacted them. So, wacom is the only brand that I'm familiar with. I do think their products are quite good. As far as other brands, I think Alice may have one that's not Wacom. I'll try to ask her again, but I think she got it used at a fair price.
