Sewing Machine
This was done last semester. I have a bad habit of drawing during lectures, but that's when I usually get my most inspiration lol.

Words from a cartoonist
As I take these classes more I am beginning to recall what I used to say to my old graphic design teacher "I am a cartoonist." We are currently heavly focused on perspective and proper proportioning that I can't help but feel a part of my heart sigh. Yes yes I know. You need to know the right way before you can do wrong right. But I miss my exaggerations. I miss seeing my emotions and thoughts in my lines. It's not that my eyes don't work, it's not that my brain and hands can't function. They however see things differently. Stuck in their own world, creating challenges during the transfer process.
Above is a cartoon version of my two friends Kasey and Drew made a while back (Program: Paint Tool Sai). They're playing xbox. The shapes I used obviously aren't fit to this dimension. But I can't help but feel happy when I make things like this. What do you think about cartooning or this image? What do you really enjoy personally drawing or crafting? How do you feel about our projects now? (what challenges are you facing?)

Some Illustrations
This is oil pastel on paper. I was inspired by a series of 1970s Vogue magazine covers. This is one image in a series of three that I did, and each of the drawings had a particular color scheme. I liked the simplicity of the cover.
An octopus.
Both of these sketches I did at the same time. The skateboarder in particular was inspired by a guy I would often see on my way home from work. This particular time it was about 11 pm and I thought it was odd because usually when skateboarders are out at night they are with other skateboarders. So I sketched him.

Vespa Sketch
One of the sketches I did in the past. I think it's a good exercise for line work. I think that the tires could be a bit more round and I should've cleaned the left over sketch lines a bit more. One thing I think would help our drawings is to make the lines even cleaner and smoother.

Snowboarder
The temperature outside is dropping and my anticipation of winter is rising. I drew this with charcoal to express my love of snowboarding. It is very simple subject matter, with no background, but I think it is very clear what I am trying to represent. It could use more detail in the pants and board, but I am just afraid of messing up, what I already have got.
Any helpful advice would be nice. It could be done, but I just think it needs something more.

1-point perspective of an interior from a photograph - first draft
Here is a draft of my initial idea for the 1-point perspective of an interior. I liked where it was going as a master bedroom, but it just felt too commonplace. Really the only thing that distinguished it from many of the other students' drawings was the decoration - not enough emphasis was put on the actual design of the space, in my opinion.

INKtober
Hello everyone I suggest trying this out! This is an exercise where you do one drawing a day in october. I know its a few days into october but that doesnt mean it's too late to catch up or start :) It would be cool to do in your mole skin as well. You can post your outcomes on here, or one of the websites it suggest ! I know Im going to try to do it, and it would be fun to have people to do it with !
